FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Fusion Orthopedics is pleased to announce that it has acquired San Diego, California based
OrthoNoble, LLC on November 9th, 2018. OrthoNoble is a sports-medicine medical device company
specializing in the development of suture anchors for surgical treatment of ligament, tendon, and soft
tissue pathologies. The assets center around a knotted suture anchor system and a second-generation
revolutionary knotless suture fixation system which includes pending patents and issued patents from
the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Canada, and South Africa.
The innovative technology features top locking suture anchors that are indicated for the shoulder,
elbow, hand, wrist, ankle, and foot repairs.
OrthoNoble was founded by David Levinsohn MD, a well-respected orthopedic surgeon and sport
medicine specialist in San Diego, California who was not satisfied with the failure rates of common
orthopedic procedures. Born from a desire to improve patient outcome, he developed, refined, and filed
patents related to his unique anchor technology over the last decade to address many of the
shortcomings inherent in tendon and ligament repairs.
Central to this technology, is a unique top-locking feature, which improves performance by affording
suture capture within the top of a PEEK anchor and thereby avoids relying on the bone-anchor interface
for suture capture. This system provides surgeons a new level of precision for fine tuning the tension of
the repair. It is revolutionary in that both the tension, and the eyelet orientation, can be secondarily
adjusted after deployment of the anchor.
Fusion is excited about this highly anticipated announcement and will be making their best efforts to
have the product available in 2019. We believe that this acquisition may bring significant benefits to
patients and all stakeholders at Fusion Orthopedics.
